Listen to Your Body
Last night my body told me to rest – so I did. It’s been a hectic 7 days and my instinct knew it was time to listen. I ignored the washing that was sitting in the corner needing to be put away, along with all the other household chores and admin that need to be done. Instead I sat on the couch, put my feet up, lit some candles, chilled out for a while and then went to bed early.
Sometimes we push ourselves too much because we think we need to get everything done – we don’t. The reality is that most things can wait.
Today I’m not feeling guilty about what I didn’t do last night – I instead feel rested and proud of myself for taking the time out that I needed.
